What do y’all think about a section exclusively for book reviews? I think it would be helpful. A topic for each title and everyone who has read it and wants to lend their opinion can add to the thread. This way if they’re all in one place when someone is looking for a new book they can scan the titles and find books that others have found helpful. I just saw a comment on Faces East about “A Thoughtful Faith”, that is the first time I remember hearing of this book. How many other good books have I never heard of? Personally I think reading the right materials goes a long way in this process. What do you think?
I like it. Good idea! I see this message board in two ways. The first is actually not what people might expect. I see it as a place to gather and document the experiences of people going through the process — like we are building a giant HOWTO document on finding faith in the Church. The second is of course the traditional support-group social nature.
So in keeping with the idea to build a library of useful information to help people “stay lds,” a section for book (move, audio, etc.) reviews would be great.
