GuestI survived a recent crisis of faith with the church, because of my faith in Christ… I am all the stronger for it. I do not want to cut off my membership as there is still a lot of good in the church and I have faith those aspects and because I for some reason worry about what it would do to my kids, they have done remarkably well considering one was on a mission during this time. I don’t want them to think that their baptism is invalid. I am not super active attendance wise in the last year, in fact it was a literal struggle to hold on the church period. I did so by a thread, I never gave up. I do hold a TR, I only go when I know the lessons will be uplifting and recently asked for a calling. I am very concerned about the upcoming lesson #27 and how detrimental it is to anyone that is/was struggling with their faith in the church. I hope our bishop chooses not to have that lesson taught, I think it is a bad lesson. I am passionate about advocating for compassion of those who struggle with the church, especially with finding that 2 of my friends have husbands who are either Post Mormon or NOM, I really feel for them and hits real close to home. Well, that is enough for now. February 2, 2009 at 9:38 pm #215287Anonymous
GuestWelcome LadyWisdom! It sounds like you may have some valuable insights for us. I am one that looks forward to hearing more from you!
I am certainly with you in being “passionate about advocating for compassion of those who struggle with the church.” I think that is what StayLDS is all about.
Again, welcome!

GuestDitto to what others have said. (Yeah, I know – ultra-personal. *grin*) February 28, 2009 at 4:59 am #215290Anonymous
GuestLW, I have really appreciated your comments on the other threads, and I hope that we (I) can continue to seek the positive as we acknowledge compassionately each other’s Sunday frustrations.
