I was talking today to a couple of friends at work about the LDS Faith I was asked about the beleifs on sex before marriage
The FIRST thing I said was “well i know everyone has their own faith and beliefs but mine are…”
I then explained about the law of chastity and how I see that it is important
especially looking at the age of teenage kids having kids
and std’s etc etc etc
I was then told by one of them “You know what i really like about you – you dont preach, you are firm in your beliefs but you also respect everyone else’s”
I thought this was well covered in the articles of faith
BUT do you think the church on the whole is like I am?

NO; I think the church as a whole doesn’t talk openly about their beliefs, since they’re stuck in seeing talking about their beliefs with conversion – instead of simply sharing a natural aspect of their lives. They see it as “missionary work” instead of “sharing the Gospel”.
That’s a shame.
