I saw the exact same article in the Las Vegas Sun today. Interesting. For those who are not familiar with the AP, it is a group of writers (a “clearinghouse”) who write articles that then are picked up by local papers in many locations. Sometimes, the articles are modified to fit a certain paper’s length requirements, but often they simply are inserted word-for-word. I am aware of at least three papers that ran the exact same article, and I’m sure there are many others of which I’m not aware. I want to echo the thanks to all who have helped make this site what it is. I also want to ask all the new participants to understand the civility that flows here and contribute to keeping this a respectful, uplifting, edifying site.
I wonder with publicity if this will attract people wanting to post their anti- or agenda-driven posts to this site in hopes to influence those of us just trying to share open and honest thoughts and experiences. Good luck, administrators!

Actually, I believe we will be fine. Perhaps we can be so welcoming that either anti or traditional can drop in for a pleasant visit and help us explain better what makes us all tick. Friendship is a good thing.
So far, we have rarely needed to resort to heavy handed moderation. To be fair though, I freely admit we have banned, edited and deleted a few people over the past year that didn’t seem to create content that fit the purpose and mission of the site. We don’t shy away from controversial topics. We’re here to talk about all these things that cause us problems. It is totally ok for people to be upset, critical, disappointed or disillusioned. It all has to wrap back around at some point to produce a discussion about reconciliation, peace and happiness. It’s ok to stay here and believe too, as long as that is a loving and compassionate belief that welcomes sincere questions and exploration.
We want to know what works for people. We already know people out there are angry. We’ve been there too. There are plenty of other sites to vent and let it all out. Those sites provide a valuable service to the community. I really believe that.
I found this site from an article in the SL Tribune. It is awesome and I’m so glad it has received the press it did so I could find it. I’ve become a FAIR “junkie” since stumbling on a pretty presuasive anti-mormon website and then finding out the answers to the questions they raised in my own testimony through Mormon apologetics. So keep spreading the “gospel” of helping people with the Gospel. This is the article that helped me find you. So, thanks for running the story.
