I would like to bring up two topics, sort of tied together. I would like to approach some of the regulars and ask them if they would like to take on the job of being a moderator.
I would also like to discuss having us divide up among the forum sections as primary moderators. By that, I mean we make sure to read all those posts in our “assigned” section, but are also always free to read and moderate in others as we have time available.
I am still at work and have to get some stuff done for a deadline, so I can’t post more now.
Sounds like a good idea to me. I feel bad that I’m not “reliable”, having more hands to help carry the load would help. Should we mention names? I think Heber would be good – for one.
Heber13 is someone I had in mind. Just to let everyone know, JMB275 is currently doing something for John that gives him view of this forum section. I would have recommended him for this too.

Tom Haws has been pretty active. He usually does a great job of responding to people. I don’t know if he is too far out there sometimes. He freely admits to bouts of extreme black/white thinking at times. He also seems to have been too sensitive about a couple of things in the past. That is fine for him, and I support him in his perspectives, just not sure about the moderator role.
Anyone else? Let’s think of maybe 3 new people, and see how good we can integrate them into the moderator community.
I think jmb is a great choice, and he just asked if he could help out in some way with the moderation. Heber would be wonderful.
Honestly, I’m not sure about Tom Haws. I really like him and his contribution, but something says moderation might not be something we want to offer to him. I don’t know exactly why.
I’d like to get Andrew Ainsworth over here, but I don’t know about his availability. Same for Kevin Barney. The Faithful Dissident is another. I might suggest a different pseudonym for them, since I don’t want this to appear to become MM2.
I am going to talk to Prairie_Chuck over at FacesEast. FE is a pretty slow board. She might have time to spend here. PC is such a wonderful asset to counsel with people having mixed-faith marriage problems, and she is also more on the believing/traditional end of the LDS spectrum.
Sounds good. I think Tom is a great guy, it sounds like he’s been through a lot lately with a recent separation & the associated family struggles. I’m guessing some of the effects have trickled over to give the impression that something has been going on with him. Maybe at a later date he may be a better fit for moderator – if he wants it. I spoke w/ HiJolly. Unfortunately, no can do. He has a position in the church that would make official participation risky. But he will still contribute where he can.
