    So here’s a funny story to cheer everyone up. My ward Christmas party is coming up pretty soon. I told my DH (who’s a NM) that he had to attend. He proceeded to tell me that the ward Christmas party is a gateway crime. Here’s his reasoning. First you go to the party, then people are inviting you over to their house, then the missionaries are over and bam! before you know it you’re a full blown member. I laughed so hard at his reasoning I cried.

    I find them boring. Went to one in a new Ward and went table-hopping. No one would talk…booked a gig for the one tonight and earned money instead. More fun.

    We had ours last Saturday. We enjoyed it.

    Your husband’s comment made me laugh – but at least he understands the danger. :P

    Our activities are openly advertised to members as “gateway crime opportunities” though not in those words. They are advertised as missionary opportunities that aren’t as threatening as a church service might be to some. Sounds like your DH parted the veil on that one. ;)
