Do we want a recommended videos post? If so, should it go in the “Spiritual” section or the “Books” section? Do we change and make one section labeled “Recommendations”? Or modify to Books/Media Reviews? From that first post it’s hard to say how much will take hold. I would enjoy some discussions on podcasts as well. Just thinking out loud?
I think a new section called “Recommended Videos” similar to the “Book Reviews” section would be a good idea. I have a growing collection of videos that I love, and could contribute a few titles there. Perhaps a “media” section would be nice. Of course, Mormon Stories is a must, but Valoel’s post on the Old Testament podcast is great, and Covenant Theological Seminary has some great Bible podcasts as well.
I recommend changing the “Book Reviews” section to “Book & Media Reviews.” They are essentially the same style and content of topics. That’s just my personal opinion. Adding too many forum sections can lead to a dilution of conversations, and it makes it harder for user to pick the right forum section for their posts. I’m with Valoel in changing it to Book & Media Reviews. The other alternative is to break up the sections into aggregate sections. But that is only for organizational purposes. There would still be a lot of forums. I already find it difficult to keep up. I have concluded that I will have to just get to what I can, and will have to let all the rest, although highly valuable I’m sure, go due to time constraints. So will eu please change it? (Sorry, it just was too easy.) Done. And if only there was a rayting system for raynking comments, I would have marked that last one so low!! Okay, sorry, that was so lame. It was the best I could come up with. I’ll stop now. 😳
