Bridget Night moderation action

Bridget included a link at the end of her comment on the Christmas wish thread to a site that sells her book. I deleted the link. I sent her the following PM:

Bridget, it’s not appropriate in a forum like this to include a link to a commercial site that sells a book you wrote. I deleted the link in your comment on the Christmas thread.

I just wanted you to know the rule and why I deleted the link.

I have been a bit concerned for a while that she is participating here largely to try to sell her book. She mentions it often, and she tends to comment far more on threads where she can mention it than any of the others. I’m not willing to do anything formal or say anything at this point, but I thought I should let you know what I did, why I did it, and why I have been concerned about her. I hope this stops any overt marketing, and maybe it was just an oversight, but her comment also looks like it was copied and pasted from somewhere else (the tell-tale >s at the beginning of and between the paragraphs).

Anyway, just wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention.
