This comment has nothing to do with the topic, and it is consistent with My3GirlsDad’s other comment to which I responded in the “Church Potential” thread. I moved it here strictly because I am concerned that he now is taking an extremist view on everything and beginning to slander members and testify to us about how bad the Church is.

How does everyone want to address My3GirlsDad – or do you all want to re-activate the post and simply comment on it in public? Do you think I am over-reacting – or do you think he is crossing the line into troll-dom?

Let’s address his comment with our replies. I don’t think this one was too over the top when I first read it. He makes a point indirectly, and doesn’t directly accuse all members of being Pharisee. IMO some members are like the Pharisee.

Let’s continue talking about the comment here in the back channel. I put the whole topic back in place in the public because I don’t want to take down the whole thing with all 60 responses because of 1 marginal comment.

FWIW, I don’t think M3GD is really at the level we are looking for to create content. He comes across as someone who did more of a lateral transfer within stage 3 — from TBM Mormon to TBM Evangelical (non-demoninational Christian), perhaps with a solid foothold in Stage 4. He talks about his personal framework some, but doesn’t seem to see religion from an outside perspective as a system.

I agree, Brian, and I thought we probably would end up re-opening the thread.

More than anything else, I want to keep a really close eye on him.

I’ll send him a quick PM reminding him of the mission of the site. It’s OK to express problems we’ve encountered, but the tone has to stay productive and encourage working towards a reconciliation strategy and solution.
