GuestThere’s a person (more likely a bot) that tries to register a couple times a week. This bot is programmed to respond to the phpBB justification text with “None…YET” and uses a bogus email address, usually ends in .ru or .pl I am only starting this thread to keep notes to see if I can learn more about who it is. I check the boards from many physical locations, so I thought this would be an easy central place to keep the info.

GuestI am just making notes on justification text that I see multiple times. They use a bot program … I can’t remember the name off the top of my head. But it uses a database of sites they share among them. They need a real email address to penetrated boards with poor security. But that will change often. They might even change IP addresses a little. I bet they get lazy though and don’t bother to change the justification text. We might be able to detect a pattern in the IP addresses.
