GuestControversial (?fraudulent?) guru Sai Baba has just died. May 11, 2011 at 3:55 pm #243004Anonymous
GuestSambee, I had no knowledge of this person before you posted the link. What a fascinating individual. Quote:In 2011, he was listed by the Watkins Review as one of the 100 most spiritually influential people in the world.
I want to check out that Watkins Review and see who is on that esteemed list. Any mormons? If not, what does that tell us?

Quote:http://www.watkinsbooks.com/review/watkins-spiritual-100-list ” class=”bbcode_url”> http://www.watkinsbooks.com/review/watkins-spiritual-100-list Sai Baba is #37 on the list.The criteria used:
Quote:There are several factors that were taken into account when compiling the list. Listed below are the main three:
1) The person has to be alive
2) The person has to have made a unique and spiritual contribution on a global scale
3) The person is frequently googled, appears in Nielsen Data, and highlighted in throughout the blogosphere
It’s interesting to think about the amount of times that a person is googled; in a sense, being googled is a form of digital voting, and illustrates just how often someone is being sought out.
From the list, I see no Mormons
😥 On the other hand, Oprah is #8, and Dan Brown #42 … so maybe the list isn’t so completely valid??? Seriously? Dan Brown?
But, hey… I give a
for Ekhart Tolle in the #1 spot…I’m a Tolle fan! May 14, 2011 at 4:22 pm #243006Anonymous
GuestHe’s a bit notorious… picked up a few western followers, but a few years ago, a hidden camera showed exactly how he conjured items out of “thin air”. (Ordinary sleight of hand) -
