Early this Mothers day morning I ask my 13 yo son, “Jacob, what can we do for mom to make this a great day for her?” …..he thinks… then replies “Let her stay home from church?” 😆 😆

You’ve got a pretty cool little kid and sounds like he has a good sense of humor ;)

I guess it depends on what mom wants, or if staying home is thinking that is what we would want. I think getting all our kids ready for church without her help and all going together is a gift some would want, just depends on the individual, I guess.

I grew up in a home where mom always said that going out to eat on Mothers Day was the best way to serve her and make her feel special. We’ve done it almost every year, without guilt. It is the only way we can actually have a good meal without mom helping to cook and clean.

Happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there!!

    That is awesome.

jwald said she would like to skip church and go on a picnic — but we didn’t. Maybe this is something the church should consider in the future.
