GuestHey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve participated on this forum, but I’m back with a new question/thought… I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how the LDS church teaches us that “Obedience is the first law of Heaven.”
Take a second and really think about that statement. Is obedience really the FIRST law of Heaven??
In my mind I can’t help thinking that there are more important things. What about love or truth?!
I can’t idly sit back and accept this as a true doctrine. I know that obedience does have it’s place, but I certainly would not place it as the most important law of Heaven. I feel like this is another Mormon dig at learning to keep quiet and not ask the important questions. Thinking about it really upsets me.
Finally, I understand that this law is not “Official Church Doctrine” but to me, that phase is seeming more and more like a convenient little loophole.

I’m anxious to hear your thoughts.
