GuestShe’s back on her only topic of interest again, with a vengeance. I don’t have a problem with discussion about homosexuality, but she constantly promotes herself and her book in her posts and comments – and it feels like she’s here MUCH less to “StayLDS” than to promote her current church and her “professional” efforts. It’s like she’s using us for a political agenda, in a way.
I’m not sure how to articulate my unease and why I feel this way, so I’d like any input you can provide.

GuestYup. I noticed. She mostly seems to show up for that lately. I guess I don’t mind a small amount of this sort of thing. She has participated in the past more … I don’t know *shrug* It seems a little phony, but I am not as bothered I guess as long as it is minimal. It is a prominent topic for people trying to stay, and in making Mormonism a broader tent. September 27, 2011 at 2:35 am #246255Anonymous
GuestTo be honest, I’ve stopped reading her posts, they get boring always being about the same topic with not much new to add. Does her conversations get much response from others or are they thread-killers? If they don’t get much attention, and they are fairly infrequent, it doesn’t bother me. If they are putting a damper on participation, she needs a PM. September 27, 2011 at 12:34 pm #246256Anonymous
GuestI was going to say that too. Her posts pretty much make my eyes glaze over. I tend to skim the first few lines of her posts lightly to make sure nothing jumps out, and then I move on. I rarely, if ever, respond. She tends to not really say much of anything IMO, mostly a lot of cut-n-paste or linking. It seems like the best approach is to not really help those conversations along, unless we feel there’s something there that catches our interest. It’s always the same topic, and pretty much just an announcement to tell us about a book we already know she wrote.
