Site promotion over next couple months

We’re going to receive attention via Open Stories Foundation activity over the next 2 months. Just to give you guys a heads up, the very tip of this is starting today with a SL Tribune article combined with a preliminary research findings report about why people leave the church.

Two new Open Stories sites are coming online: WhyMormonsLeave and FaithTransitions (or LDSFaithTransitions). WML is more research oriented and pointy-headed, also exploring the problems that lead people to question.

I’m in heading up the content on FaithTransitions, which is oriented towards “pastoral care” (for lack of a better word) in helping people navigate a faith crisis with the best tools, and with the least amount of damage and distress possible. We’ve recorded 1 podcast so far with John D., Joanna B and me. FaithTransitions will be neutral about where people end up — helping them leave, stay or somewhere in between. Obviously I will leverage that site to direct “stay-ers” to StayLDS.com resources.

Both of these sites will have links to and make references to StayLDS.com. There will be national news attention on these projects. We should get a bump here in activity.
