GuestOut theology certainly can be seen to teach that we have visitors from other planets occasionally, minus the flying saucers and popular alien descriptions. July 1, 2012 at 3:54 pm #253197Anonymous
GuestI’ve never considered it?

GuestI’m really reaching here but…. If Adam and Eve were “transplanted” here from another sphere, than one could explain the fossil record as pertaining to a former creation. It would make the 6000 – 10,000 year-old earth (this creation) theory a little more palatable.

GuestI believe any visitors to earth are spirits or angels who were or will be born on this earth. July 1, 2012 at 8:42 pm #253200Anonymous
GuestI do believe aliens from other worlds exist. Whether alien have abducted humans might happen, but I’m not sure. July 2, 2012 at 2:08 am #253201Anonymous
GuestI think it is plausible. There’s actually a whole group of conspiracy theorists that are pushing that idea and they have a whole show on the History channel about it called Ancient Aliens. They take it a bit too far and try and connect every anachronism in the archeological record to visitors from another planet, but it is still entertaining to watch. GuestWhy not. Is is certainly as believable or provable as an all knowing omnipotent God. July 2, 2012 at 6:01 am #253203Anonymous

GuestThis actually is one of my favorite peculiarities of Mormon theology. It makes the concept of godhood so much more powerful and, imo, meaningful than what exists in the rest of Christianity. July 2, 2012 at 6:02 pm #253195Anonymous

The problem with that is DNA. We are linked in so many ways to other life forms. We are not a stand alone species that has no commonality with other species on this planet.
