New Calling for Me!!!

Hi Everyone,

I just received a new calling yesterday in church. I’m excited to start work in the library a.k.a. the materials center. I was pulled aside by one of the Bishop’s counselors and extended this call in between meetings. He just sat me down and told me they’d like to give me this calling and they that I would start it after general conference. I also asked him during the course of the conversation how often I should meet with the bishop if I’m going to receive the priesthood or my endowment. From what he told me, it sounds like the bishop is the one who comes and talks to you. You don’t really need to set an appointment with the bishop, he already knows my goals, and so from the way I understood it the Bishop is pretty much in charge of how fast or slow things go, and the frequency with which you meet with him. Anywho, I am excited to start this new calling as it is another step on my way to the temple. The counselor also told me that they would be starting up the temple preparation class in October, after general conference. I’m not sure what that means for me, but I will keep everyone updated!
