GuestI want to thank you all for your help & say goodbye (for now). This is going to sound selfish I know. I’ve gotten more than I thought possible from this site. And I don’t think I can give back very effectively in return.
I’ve always believed that you should resolve the issues that you can control or move on to something else that makes you happy & fulfilled. The last thing that anyone should do is roll around in the issues or problems that hold us back. I did that for many years with no success.
In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve done more than resolve my issues. I feel at peace with God for the first time in a long time. I’m going to Church again on my own terms. I have a calling I like. I have a TR, go to the temple & I HT. I refuse to be pulled into church politics or bureaucracy of our ward or stake. I refuse to feel guilty about my past or my struggles within the church. That’s between me & God.
I wish you all the best. I will look in from time to time.
If you ever want to, send me a PM.
This site (& the people that respond to the posts) have provided me with a lot of insight that I could not get on my own.

GuestThank you for your kind words, Mike – and for your contribution here. I can’t determine a ratio of received/given, but I know we have been enriched greatly from you being here. God bless you, my friend. I can’t express how happy your message makes me feel and how grateful I am that we could be part of your current peace.

GuestMike, You have touched my heart in more ways than you’ll ever know. We obviously have some things in common, but more than that, you’ve been a very authentic, caring individual who has provided great stability to the dialog and spirit here.
I wish you the very best on your journey, and let’s keep in touch.
cheers!

GuestBest of luck Mike! I’ve enjoyed you’re participation! We should have a forum just for exits, where people can share where they are and and how stayLds has helped them. February 18, 2013 at 11:57 pm #265494Anonymous

GuestEchoing the best wishes. I can understand wanting to move on if you feel resolved. I wonder whether the the success of the site means the numbers will always be few here. It’s intended to be a watering hole I guess, one direction or the other. It’s great to the site doing the job it set out to do.
