GuestI’ve been wondering where Shawn is at. I haven’t seen him on the forum in a while. Where at you at, Shawn? Does anyone here know? August 12, 2013 at 1:40 am #272241Anonymous
GuestI was recently thinking the same thing. I believe he’s taking a break from the board. I miss his contribution. August 12, 2013 at 11:44 pm #272242Anonymous
GuestYeah, I agree. I miss his contribution too. I hope he’s doing well. August 19, 2013 at 10:14 pm #272243Anonymous
GuestHey! I logged in today just to see if I have any personal messages and mackay told me about this thread. I really appreciate it! I actually didn’t make much of a concious decision to take a break from the board. It just happened. Anyway, I’m doing much better than I was a month ago. I’m just not thinking about church issues at this time.
I have been reading the New Testament a LOT because I want to see the four gospels together. I don’t mean a side-by-side-by-side-by-side view – I’m smushing the four accounts into one narrative. It’s very tricky, but it has been an awesome experience. Jesus is amazing.

GuestGood to hear from you, Shawn. Sometimes it really is best just not to think about something all the time and focus on finding good stuff and deeper individual understanding. I’m glad you have been able to do that, friend.

Glad to see you Shawn. I think that’s an awesome approach. There are always more then way way to see things and a better picture of the elephant forms when we here multiple people or witnesses out.

GuestShawn, I also need to say this: If coming back here leads to a lessening of the peace you have felt this past month, as you have thought less about church issues, we will understand if you don’t check in and participate as much as you used to do.
Above all else, each person’s peace is our main concern – and if not obsessing about the things we discuss here adds to your peace, continue to follow that path, please.

GuestShawn, great to hear from you. I agree with you that Jesus is amazing. I also agree with Ray that if not being on the forum very often helps you be at peace, then do what works for you. -
