This book just arrived in my life collection. As a person who desires to remain tethered to the LDS faith, I am finding this book to be a gem. It was compiled in 1986. The book is a collection of essays written by scholars who have a less than traditional LDS faith practice. It opens with the classic Dialogue piece about the Iron rodders, and the Liahonites. Among the contributing writers are Laurel Thatcher Ulrich (Lusterware), Richard Bushman, Emma Lou Thayne, and more.

I’ve only read two of the pieces so far, though we may not be completely eye to eye on every topic, I find them healing, and faith promoting.

I love this book and wish they would reprint it. I got the cheapest used copy I could find.

Yes Ann, it was pricey. I had mine waiting in Amazon watching the price get low enough so I could buy it.
