GuestI was just reading May’s response to Line in the Sand, and it hurt. I hurt for May and I hurt with my memories of days like hers. I hurt for the divide that lays inside our religion. As I thought about the May’s experience, I was comparing it to my RS yesterday. It was a wonderful – Universalistic – lesson. Not only well taught but a key comment or two made my day. I went home with continued hope. While I compared our days, I reflected on my Stage 4 days, where I feel hurt, alone, locked out, rejected, etc. It occurred to me, that on my hard days, it could be (and has because I’ve read them) been someones best day. And I don’t mean from a believer vs. non-believer – but from us right here. For a second I wished I could bottle up my happy, hopeful day and send it to May – to give her hope. And I wished that on my rough days the same could happen for me.
I know life doesn’t work this way – Grief is a unique experience here. All over life the opposition of all things exists moment to moment, life to life. But it is easy when you are having good day, to proceed through as if every life is having a good day – yet they are not. For that I wish, we could bottle, ship, send a piece of joy, happy and hopeful to each other on days when it’s more than we can bare.

GuestIf you could bottle it up and sell it…I’d want in on that business! You are exactly right, mom3, it is a unique experience, and we all have ups and downs. I think that is why pure religion involves connecting and sharing with others, because we all need that support from each other from time to time.
Thanks for giving your support and sharing your experiences. Your thoughts to May are touching. You have a good heart.
