Vanstrada 54 sounds way too perky and chipper to be our target audience. Thoughts? It can be really hard to say from such a short intro. When approving first posts I often remind myself that the original purpose of requiring approval was to weed out the automated accounts looking to spam our site. I think it is also good that we can catch those way outside our scope, but this one is difficult to judge. I say we let it go for now. On second thought I sent a PM to get a better idea of her situation.
Yes. Let’s not approve the post until we hear back about why this person is here. I don’t want negativity resulting to a post like that. No Reply yet… Try sending an email to the address listed in the account. Don’t be too paranoid. But yeah, they sounded a little too problem-free and perky, like one of those too-helpful believers that end up running into trouble in our community.
Since there has been no response by now…I will be moving this vanstrada54 intro post to the parked admin thread. Should they ever respond and see it is legit, we can approve and move it back. It’s been a while.
