So…a member of an LDS facebook group that I visit asked a question about Mother Eve. The responses were…sad. Oh, my…I was actually incredibly frustrated as I read through some of them. Others I had to stop reading because it simply showed LACK of thinking on the part of SO many LDS church members. Holy Cow!
I read things like,
“but the new temple video! It shows the truth!”
or
“an apostle said it, we shouldn’t question it.”
or
“you shouldn’t be wondering those things”
😯 :crazy: 😯 It once again made me SO grateful to have found this forum. Where not only do we get those who support questions but we also get very well thought-out answers.
So…once again…thanks to those of you who make this a safe place to visit and discuss.
:thumbup: Just repeat in your head “People are idiots.” It helps. Louis CK riffed on the idea of Heavenly Mother on SNL, then also went on to point out the lack of diversity at BYU. I have to wonder what his Mormon connections are.

I watched that last night, and kept thinking how I would want to show it to our Mormon feminist friends. Its nice to know others see the glaring lack. Also, on The Colbert Report a few nights ago he was talking to someone who wrote a book about Jews, and he brought up the mother god that they erased. Cool stuff.

And that comedy act. I laughed out loud! I had to read it to my kids. I know…probably a little sacrilegious, but…pretty funny, anyway.
