Hey guys, It’s Bill Reel – host of Mormon Discussion Podcast. I recently created a video for a fundraiser that shows many of the faces of the interviews I have done in the past. I have a goal to put the podcast in front of 100,000 LDS who are having a difficult faith transition who are not yet aware of the podcast but that can not be done eaily. A Kickstarter fundraiser has been initiated to help Latter Day Saints who struggle with doubt. If there is any way you can help even if only to get the word out in various avenues. Also all those who help directly each receive rewards. Annual Subscriptions, T-Shirts, Hats, Lifetime Subscription, ect….

The fundraiser is trying to raise $3,000 to make the website more functional and more visible for those in a faith transition to find. It also will finance some marketing in heavy LDS areas so those who need help will be aware of the resource. The podcast is getting 50,000 hits a month and is growing – because of many of you it is a giant resource for those who have questions.
I am getting multiple emails a week from those going through a difficult faith transition. What better resource then a place where interviews with a whole host of scholars, authors, and historians who each tackle various issues can all be found in one place speaking to those who are struggling.

I am 14% of the way there after 6 days… not sure if that is good or bad but I personally feel it isn’t looking good! If you don’t make it I’ll put the $25 onto your donations page instead. I hope you do. By the way, can I offer some marketing support? You’ve mentioned press ads in Des.News and STrib… I’d suggest there’s a better way of targetting Mormons. I could help you out with a Facebook campaign (targetting Mormons only) or a google ads campaign targetting Mormon websites. That would be a much more effective use of budget and would be more targetted.
I’d do it free as a support for the campaign.

I keep pretty good records of donations. If someone sends me their email privately, I can tell likely tell them their donations and dates
