GuestA member of the primary presidency asked me to help them in sharing time next Sunday. They want me to find a 4-5 minute clip from the recent general conference to show the primary children. It’s a small branch so ages go from 4-11.
I said yes, but now I’m left trying to think of something. Was there a talk with a good story or one with some on-screen dramatisation? They sometimes have actors re-create a scene or story. It can be anything from either the general conference sessions or the women’s conference.
Any thoughts? I’m drawing a blank.

GuestUse the clip when president monson talks about setting the fire when he was a kid. I don’t remember the point of the story, but it was very engaging, and really made the prophet seem relateable (is that a word?)

GuestThere’s a (possibly?) kid-friendly talk from the October, 2013, priesthood session – Pres. Uchtdorf’s “You Can Do It Now.” He starts with an anecdote about skiing with his grandson. There are several videos (one of “I Am a Child of God” sung in a bunch of languages) from the most recent General R.S. meeting that the younger girls were invited to. That one includes a fair number of Primary-age boys, but it’s really geared more toward girls.

GuestAlmost anything from Pres. Monson. The fire story is excellent. May 20, 2014 at 4:51 am #285185Anonymous
GuestAny idea which conference the fire story was from? I think they wanted one from the latest conference. I like the multi-lingual I am a Child of God idea. Is there a talk that fits that? Wondering if I could do a combination of both. May 20, 2014 at 8:32 pm #285189 -
