GuestI just came across this recent Sunstone Article by Carol Lynn Pearson and thought it might be useful for this forum. https://www.sunstonemagazine.com/why-i-stay-2/https://www.sunstonemagazine.com/why-i-stay-2/” class=”bbcode_url”> There are lots of things to ponder here, but I love this quote:
Quote:“You have learned something. That always feels at first as if you have lost something.” [/quote]- George Bernard Shaw. And this:
Quote:“I also believe an important reason that I am able to stay is that in some ways I do not stay. I do not stay in concepts that I do not accept. I do not stay in traditions that I do not believe in. I move, in my own very imperfect way, toward the horizon that truly calls to me.”May 25, 2014 at 2:56 pm #285402Anonymous

GuestYeah I loved this one, I book marked it. So many inspiring words to live by. I love the Stayers who have gone on before us. I really do walk in their light. May 25, 2014 at 7:46 pm #285405Anonymous

GuestI am reading Stay LDS during Stake Conference .. (Don’t judge). Just read this link to Carol Lynn Pearson’s article. Today I needed it.
Surely, there are people here today who are feeling touch by the spirit and inspired.
I am not on that list.
Waste of two hours of my life …
But the Pearson article will be food for thought for quite a while

I would have last Stake Conference, but there were so many people I couldn’t get a connection WiFi or cell data connection.

I believe the best thing I received from my pioneer ancestors was not a destination, but an invitation. They gave me the model of being a pioneer and encouraged me to follow in their footsteps.
Ya just gotta love it. In many ways I just love the article. It’s well worth a read. Here’s the link again, so you don’t have to search back to find it.
