Has anyone read the book: “The Columbia Sourcebook of Mormons in the United States”? It is written by Reid L Neilson & Terryl L Givens.
It came out Aug 12, 2014.
The summary says:

Where does one get the tablet version? Google Play, iBooks??? I saw it on Nook which is Barnes & Noble. I also saw it on Kindle which is Amazon.
Mike, that sounds really interesting. I haven’t read anything from Terryl Givens before. The Weeping God sounds really interesting. I did buy this book. It is more of a reference book then something you would read from cover to cover. The chapters are divided as follows:
1. Theology and Doctrine.
2. Scattering of the Saints.
3. Gathering to Zion.
4. Government and Politics.
5. Race and Ethnicity.
6. Sexuality and Gender.
7. Education and Intellectualism.
8. Contemporary Religious Life.
Individual segments within each chapter include writings from inside & outside the church.
Some of the writers include James Strang, Jason Briggs (RLDS) & William Smith.
Also included are General Authorities & contemporary writers from Dialogue.
It seems like a very balanced approach to our (combined) history including the break off groups.
