Thougth I’d share this article about Ordain Women gaining access to some priesthood meetings, but turned away at others.

That’s great they were admitted to some. When I read the article I felt like I had time traveled to the 19th century, or maybe to the Middle East. Since women share in the priesthood (as we’ve been told recently) it’s strange to me that women in general aren’t welcome with open arms.

I think that’s great. It’s a shame Kate Kelly was unable to see that when she was a member of the church.

Kate Kelly could have attended in her area, and maybe she did. I hope so.

I’m sure that within 5-10 years, women attending PH GC sessions will become accepted and no big deal. I don’t see that changing anything else much as far as women in the church are concerned. There will always be a line in the sand. I believe it will be many decades, if ever, before women will hold the priesthood in the church. This will be just one of many challenges the church will face in the future, though. I think a lot of the talks this GC were a sign that the brethren are aware of that. But like lifting the priesthood ban, it may too little too late for too many.
