Not sure what you mean by a “Christmas Party Program”. Could you make it “New Perspectives on Christmas”, and then everyone presents something about Christmas that people haven’t every thought of….

You could complement the theme by departing from Red and Green as colors — make your Christmas tree pink, and purple — Santa wears a purple hat, and the tablecloths and plates are in pastels. It’s still Christmas, but with a different “spin”.

Check out “A Cajun Night Before Christmas”. Great theme and you can’t beat the food possibilities. :D

Along the lines of GBS, do a theme around some area of the world. Southwest Christmas with Mexican food, New York w

Christmas with decorations like a big city, Australian Christmas with BBQ, LasVegas Christmas with strippers. :)

I think this year we are going with a theme of what Bethlehem was like when Jesus was born. Unleavened bread? That’s all I could come up with.

I offered to decorate the nursery like Egypt. 😈

In fact, forget the Las Vegas and the Christmas.

0ne year we did the Bethlehem dinner and it was fun. There were booths all around the cultural hall, some had food, others had games like dreidl.

A friend of mine who hosted the ward party last year went with the Polar Express. Everyone had a ticket, the train was set up between the dividers with the chapel cultural hall. The Bishop was the ticket taker. They had hot cocoa, cookies, this type of thing.

I’ve been traveling. Checked into the hotel tonight and checked this post .. Just hoping for ideas as I am going to need to kick it I to high gear as soon as I get back.

Your ideas are great .. But the comments are priceless. I wish I could use those for the party! I lack bravery.

I know I’m a little late to the party, but you could do an international theme based on where missionaries from your ward are serving. That is supposing, of course, that you have missionaries serving and that they are serving internationally. Christmas in Iowa probably wouldn’t be all that spectacular. No offense to Iowans intended.

If you don’t have missionaries serving (or only one or two), you could do the same thing with places where members have served and/or lived.
