This returning missionary got something of an overenthusiastic welcome home.

    Dogs feel attachments.

Dogs also get lonely and feel loss.

    Heartwarming.

When I saw this I thought about how non-judgmental the dog was. The dog didn’t know if the missionary served a mission for 2 years or went on a killing spree.

What reception do some youth receive when they don’t serve the full term of a mission? There are cases where they don’t get the same reception that the dog gave me.

This also reminded me of a joke.

Dog is a man’s best friend. Don’t believe it – try this experiment. One day take your girlfriend and lock her in the trunk of the car and drive around for an hour. Note her reaction when you let her out. Now do the same to your dog. Compare the response of the dog vs. the girlfriend. :-)

Now that we’ve ventured into the realm of dog theology…

A dog says,” You pet me, you feed me, you shelter me, and you love me, you must be god.” A cat says,” You pet me, you feed me, you shelter me, and you love me, I must be god.”

My reaction to the video… reminded me of how my mom greeted me when I got home from my mission. 😳

    Spanish Missionary Pun.

?Cual es la differencia entre la novia de un missionero y una pera?

!Una es una pera …. la otra – no espera!

    Translation:

What is the difference between a missionary’s girlfriend and a pear?

One is a pear …. and the other – is not a pear/doesn’t wait.
