For this one, someone wants you to come to a meeting. Rather than go to the meeting, you would rather do something that meets the objective of the meeting. The respondent says “No”.. Quote:
I know you said all HP’s should be at the meeting on missionary work, and that the purpose of the meeting is to motivate everyone to provide referrals for the missionaries. How about this. If I promise to ask three people to take the discussions in the next week, and report back on the results to you, and the missionaries, can I be exempt from attending the meeting?Answer: No, I want you at the meeting.
How would you respond to this? I have tried to get out of meetings several times with this technique and the answer has always been No!!!

Smile and walk away.
I guess it depends. If the person inviting me is my boss – I will go to the meeting. Otherwise I will say, “Thanks, I’ll see if I can make it” or the more direct “I will not be able to make it.”
