Fair warning, I recognize a pattern in Judd’s first post. I believe he is the same person that burned through a few aliases (Tom and later with another account under a different name) at NOM about a month ago. It ended in lots of deleted threads. Over at NOM he was intent on convincing people that the Hopewell Indians were the people that the BoM spoke about.
He created a dozen or so threads at NOM, one thread per piece of evidence that he feels exists to prove the historicity of the BoM. I’m not sure whether the user handle got banned or if he felt that others automatically tuned him out when they saw the user handle, at any rate he created a second account and started the process all over again.
The NOM threads weren’t very productive. Mostly “Judd” offering up evidence and people rebutting. For the most part people were respectful, of course there were a few people involved in the discussion that weren’t.
We need to be careful, I’d rather not see the same scenario play out here. I’m not sure how it’s going to play out if Judd is out to convince, which seemed to be the case over at NOM.
I didn’t see the stuff at NOM ( I go there sporadically), but I do have concerns. I debated approving the post to begin with, and chose the words of my response based on my senses and reading between the lines. I’m not sure he really wants the opinions of others, as he claims, rather he wants to share his beliefs as indisputable facts. The post I deleted in the introduction section said something like “I don’t think you people want me to post here because you won’t like it.” I am back from vacation and I am willing to take the lead in moderating him.
