GuestThis looks intriguing to me. Anyone else checked it out? http://aspiringmormonwomen.org/http://aspiringmormonwomen.org/” class=”bbcode_url”> September 11, 2015 at 12:32 am #304169Anonymous
GuestLooks pretty cool Mom! It appears to have a position that is faith positive or at the very least faith neutral.
And it fulfills a real need. Real girls can find LDS women role models, develop business networks, and even gain mentorships.
WIN! WIN! WIN!

GuestI’m definitely joining and passing it on to my daughters. The Facebook group has over 1,000 members. September 14, 2015 at 9:02 pm #304176Anonymous
GuestCan you tell anything about the group that has joined? Is there representation of all kinds of views? My daughter at BYUI is very orthodox. Will she like it? September 14, 2015 at 9:11 pm #304177Anonymous
GuestHeber I think she will. I sent it to my orthodox daughter and she was going to check it out some more but liked it at first glance. Here are some quotes,
Quote:As part our campaign to eliminate the prevalent either/or mentality in regards to women’s education, career, and family life, we will be featuring vignettes from various women sharing specific combinations of ANDs in their lives. In this feature, we highlight women who were BYU students when they married and who also graduated.
Quote:OUR MISSION
Aspiring Mormon Women is a non-profit organization with the broad purpose to encourage, support, and celebrate the educational and professional aspirations of LDS women who are high school age, who are in school, who are working, or who are desiring to return to school or the workforce.
More specifically, the goals of this organization are to:
Embrace and discuss the intersection of the personal, educational and/or professional, and spiritual lives of LDS women.
Include LDS women of all ages, at various levels of faith, and across all education levels.
Showcase the great work that has been accomplished by LDS women of the past, that is continuing with LDS women today, and that will be accomplished by LDS women in the future.
Support women in their efforts to develop their talents and pursue knowledge as they realize their potential to meaningfully and effectively contribute to the world around them.
Inspire and empower LDS women to purposefully pursue (and complete) educational opportunities—both formal and informal.
Provide informal and formal mentoring and networking opportunities for LDS women.
Quote:Aspiring Mormon Women is a community that provides the support and tools needed to assist Latter-day Saint women in fulfilling their educational and professional goals. If you are interested in coming together with like-minded women to teach and learn from one another, consider new horizons, and achieve your individual educational and professional aims, then Aspiring Mormon Women is for you.
Check out the FAQ page. I think she will like it.
