The attached list is 100 books referenced in conference that are not LDS. I had 12 of them. Pres. Hinckley frequently quoted Dickens. I’m happy to say that I have also quoted Dickens (A Christmas Carol) and Tolkien (The Hobbit) in recent talks. I should probably do it more. Out of curiosity I had to look up how Roald Dahl got quoted. It was by E. Uchtdorf in his “Forget Me Not” Women’s Broadcast talk.
