We may be moving to W Virginia or the Cumberland MD area. I was wondering if anyone has ever lived in those areas. I know that the church is smaller back East. I would like to hear about your experiences and where would be a good place to live.

I have lived all around the US, but not n or near those two places. Sorry I can’t help.
Neither of us is a native, but we spent close to 20 years in the border South and loved it. We didn’t intend to leave, but things happened at work. I don’t know what you’re used to or why you’re moving, your age and stage of life, etc. So many variables contribute, but I hope you’ll give it a chance. Haven’t lived in WV or MD, though, so I can’t give specific advice. Thank you for your replies. We would like to move when we retire. Our son, his wife and baby live in MD. Our son is planning on moving to MD as well. It would be nice to have the family al in one area again. Donna
