I live in a small college town in northern Illinois. I have an older sister and brother that live in Lehi, Utah. They come from where My sister isn’t a member (excommunicated in her late teens) and my older brother is a member (a counselor in the stake presidency, a RM, and twice former bishop). Both are great people and I might move there to be close to them. So far my sister loves it like my brother does and he hasn’t as far I can tell pushed religion onto my mission. My parents that live near me are converts to the church and the rest of my family’s religion and religious practices are all over the map. My parents would probably move to Lehi too.

I’ll visit Lehi first, if I like how things are there and feel it’s the right thing, I’ll move.

I’ve had a faith transition, so I no longer believe the prophets, seers, and revelators or the scriptures teach only spiritual truth. I believe they also teach false doctrine.

Now here’s my questions: What are the majority of the Mormons in Lehi like? Are they mainly traditional and black and white? Is anyone I can talk to out there if I feel lonely in my views? Who could I talk to?

I do not know anything about Lehi. Mormons in general can be great in fellowshipping and integrating new families into the community. If you make the move I would keep my divergent thoughts to myself for a considerable time.

I was raised in the same valley as Lehi, but Utah Valley was radically different way back then.

There are great people in that area who will respect and accept you – and there are others who won’t. That is true of almost everywhere, so I hope you find a place where you can be happy.

Thanks, guys. Roy, I agree it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to share with everyone all my views.
