FMH had a board member who has been unable to account for some organizational monies. FMH has made an announcement that showed class and integrity.
They are my people and my culture, and I am proud to see a difficult situation handled well.

What does FMH stand for? Feminist Mormon Housewifes. It is unclear the amount it question, but it must be a few $.
It does seem to me it is the above board way handle it. From the comments it seems like the board has been trying to clear this up for months.
Wow, this is really shocking. I read through the whole massive thread on FMH. A lot of posters are upset with the mods for publicly calling her out. I’m not sure if I agree or disagree with that decision. (I never did donate any money, though, so it doesn’t affect me directly.)
I think they did the right thing, and Jerilyn also admitted her fault publicly. However, any group taking in monies like this needs to have better procedures to prevent this type of thing. There’s a naive idealism in many groups that “we’re all friends here” and “nobody would ever . . .” but the reality is that people are human.
