I realize Stake Conference itself isn’t that exciting. But we just had one 3 months ago. We got a new Stake Leadership across the board. We are all just getting our feet wet and we get an extra special one – GA included in a couple of weeks. No this is not a broadcast or a regional deal. It’s us.
Now I know GA covers huge ground it begins with top 15 and rolls all the way to 2nd Quorum of Seventies. So who knows. It may be an underling, but everyone is so excited. The last time we had a regional dealy-bob, Elder Christofferson came and he said “Caffeine is not in the Word of Wisdom.” That revelation alone made F&T meeting fun the next month and people bore witness to the relief and renewed love of the leadership because of that amazing observation.
I think it’s not the GA that worries me. Granted I have favorites, but I don’t Uchtdorf will be arriving. What gets me more is what will happen and just how impactful it will be.

How about that. I hear rumors on the internets that our ward will be visited by a traveling dignitary of some sort in coming weeks. Not a conference or anything, just a regular visit. We’ve had several GAs come through over the last few years but we’ve had lots going on in our area. I can’t explain this recent attention we’re receiving but the silver lining, that’s one more Sunday where I don’t have to give a talk. 🙂 I’ll be interested to hear. We had a member of the Quorum of 12 recently. Maybe there was a big unseen reason and blessing in his visit that I’ll never know. Because the meeting itself — not much there. I was underwhelmed.
