I had my time off and missed the session. However, I logged on to see the joyous end. President Eyring and President Uchtdorf were walking off the stand and turned to choir and gestured towards their hearts. The girls all giggled. I imagine it references something important. But everyone was smiling and chuckling. Then the two men continued to walk across the stand, when President Uchtdorf noticed his wife. He lit even more, stepped back, waited for her to join him. Then they both did the hand heart gestures (just the two of them). Again the choir giggled. They both waved and walked off.

It was a beautiful session for me.

They had just sung “Heavenly Father Loves Me” and he had just spoken about peace Mom. Love the song, though I wasn’t particularly crazy about this arrangement but that’s completely personal.

The talks were run of the mill, nothing that should terribly bother anyone here. I will say I appreciated that two of the sisters managed to avoid talking like they were talking to children. I did like Pres. Eyring’s talk, and I do take small issue with “leaning” connoting I lean away from Christ (Sr. Cordon).

Thanks for the overview DJ. Thanks for the add-in of the song. It makes the moment even sweeter.

I just read the talks later, so missed all the music and non-verbals. I can’t honestly say that anything about the talks struck me forcefully. But that doesn’t mean that they didn’t give me reason to pause, contemplate and reset. Maybe that’s all it is sometimes – the same short list of vocabulary words that puts me in a certain frame of mind.

I agree with this Ann. Nothing jumped out either way, good or bad. I doubt I’ll be able to say that about all the sessions.

Any predictions about Pres Monson’s attendance? I don’t expect him to be at all sessions and will go out on a limb and have him not at the afternoon sessions Saturday or Sunday, and I’ll bet on one talk but I haven’t decided when – most likely Sunday morning.

I did go back and check it out. It was fine. Nothing landslide worthy either way, but that’s okay. I found it more Christ centered or Bible centered and I liked that.
