GuestJust starting the thread. Fwiw, I don’t like this song, even though I had a wonderful upbringing in a loving home.

GuestApproximately 240,000 newly baptized members. Almost 110,000 children of record baptized. April 1, 2017 at 8:30 pm #319635Anonymous
GuestElder Hales: Discipleship (He is looking very frail.) A state of being, with Christ’s characteristics woven into our being like a tapestry. (list of attributes)
Mastering an attribute in action only does not equal a changed heart.
Don’t conquer a list; attribute must be interwoven within us.
I like that he defines virtue explicitly as more than sexual purity and as a power. That is true to the original meaning.
This is a solid talk.

GuestWe become patient with each other AND ourselves. We find joy in the agency of others. (Even if we can’t live something fully, I like when we teach it.)
Quoting 1 Corinthians 13 about charity.
We will be as kind to enemies as to each other.
There are one or two statements about which I can quibble, but I like the talk.

GuestThe camera pulled away at the end of his talk. I assume someone helped him back to his seat. April 1, 2017 at 8:38 pm #319638Anonymous
GuestA whole new perspective on the songs I cannot sing. We’re off to a good start.

GuestElder Holland: Talk is about difficult times when we can’t feel like celebrating, focused on: Quote:“Jesus listening can hear the songs we cannot sing.”
I love that concept.

GuestElder Holland riffing off “Elder Wirthlin – Orchestra Talk” April 1, 2017 at 8:42 pm #319641Anonymous
GuestStand as close as possible to the Savior, who has perfect pitch. When the God of Love is near, the dove of peace sings in our heart.
All God’s critters have a place in God’s choir.
All voices must be heard. Diversity is good. He is reframing Elder Wirthlin’s talk, “Concern for the One”.
God wants us to sing in our own voice. Don’t stop singing. The loss of even one voice diminishes every other choir, in,cuing those who feel they are on the margins of the Church.
We need to eliminate poverty to help others be able to sing of sunshine in the soul.
I am stopping with the notes for a while. I want to listen. I love this talk.

GuestI want a meme about the chorus of marginalized. April 1, 2017 at 8:44 pm #319643Anonymous
GuestHe’s swinging for the fences and hitting it out of the park. Great talk. It should speak to many of us. April 1, 2017 at 8:44 pm #319644Anonymous
GuestRapid heart palpation over here. (Can we soften LGBT? – Please). The rest I am totally on board with. April 1, 2017 at 8:46 pm #319645Anonymous

GuestFinally 3rd Nephi arrives. April 1, 2017 at 8:47 pm #319647Anonymous
GuestGood talk, though he and I probably have a different definition of what constitutes “the choir.” -
