I just had the thought I like this group and all your thoughts you share. You is good people. :)

My name is Kevin McBride. I’m remarried now in Missoula, Montana, Missoula 3rd ward.

My brady bunch family looks like this:

Age 24: My daughter (married), and my step-daughter (married)

Age 22: My 2nd daughter (married), and my step-daughter (married)

Age 18: My son on his mission in Madrid Spain, and my step-son (university of Montana)

    Age 15: My step-daughter

AGe 14: my youngest son who has been living with his mom in Colorado but will start living with me in Montana starting August (Yippeeeee!!)

We also have 3 dogs, 2 inside cats and 4 garage cats that keep the mice away…and that’s about it.

I’ve added a pic of me and my Australian shepherd “Sprite” on a hike in the mountains near my house.

Anyone else wanna share family info and pics??? It would be good to know everyone more.

    :D

You are all cool! Thanks for letting me share.

We like our family time, play games, do hikes, watch movies together. We like our family time. We fit church in around our fam.

That’s more about our family. I’m glad everyone else shared what they did. It’s good to know all of you.

    I’ll play.

I am Carrie. I live in Vancouver, Washington. Just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon.

The FanDamLy is 3 kids, 1 dog, 1 hubbers.

I write (fighting slowly through a project right now). Learning piano. On the leadership team of an outstanding homeless shelter. Waiting for my favorite calling to be axed out from under me in. So fun.

My oldest daughter and I are the only attending members. Everyone else is “MINO” Mormon in Name Only.

I’ve got to take one. I’m like bigfoot (the non-Cain bigfoot) I actively try to avoid being photographed. Now I feel pressured to take a picture of me doing something cool. I’ll have to get back to you.

I like Sprite. Australian shepherds look pretty cool.

I consider myself tech savvy, but I have not mastered the picture thing here. Props Nibbler.

My name is Mike Hoose, I have been married 26 years and I live in upstate New York on the Susquehanna River and Pennsylvania border. (Susquehanna meant “muddy river” to our local native Americans). Owego Ward, Owego NY Stake. Harmony is about a 45 minute drive from here (closer as the crow flies), Palmyra is just under two hours. There are several lesser known sites in this area, and our stake includes the area of the Colesville Branch.

My oldest daughter (25, honeymoon if you’re doing the math) is a graduate of BYU and is a grad student at George Fox University near Portland Oregon. She is for the most part inactive, sometimes antagonistic.

Son (23) attends BYU and served in Chile Santiago South. He is not a literal believerand is “TheBiologist” on the forum.

Son (21) currently serving in Teresina Brazil, returning in November and heading back to BYU in January.

Son (19) is returning from BYU tomorrow for the summer or more.

A golden retriever/rottweiler mix who is a very good watch dog but is old and is losing his sight and hearing; three cats, one mostly outdoor, one old indoor/outdoor, and one mostly indoor because he’s too stupid to come back. None of the cats do very well at keeping the mice at bay.

I may have bad-mouthed my ward too much in the past to divulge which one I belong to… but that was a different ward. ;)

The dog knows the score. He’s got this “Please don’t involve me in this one.” look on his face.

Here’s a picture of a thing of Breyers “Oreo Cookies and Cream” we got this one time. If you look with your spiritual eyes you can see the cookies.

Love it! I’m Angela Liscom Clayton. 49 years old. I live in Scottsdale, AZ, but I grew up mostly in rural PA – also on the Susquehanna River, incidentally–our property bordered on the river, and my dad & I used to go fishing there sometimes. My husband & I served in the same mission in the Canary Islands in 1989-90. We’ve been married 26 years and have 3 kids and 3 cats:

-Oldest is 22, out of the church, lives with his girlfriend who is also ex-Mo. Neither are off the records, so I guess just inactive, but BYU broke my son.

-Second son is 18. Went to BYU-I in fall, now home working and doing online classes.

-Youngest is daughter, age 14–she’s a HS freshman who runs track and sings in choir.

Ray & I go way back to Mormon Matters. After the break up of that site (and repurposing to podcasts), I founded Wheat & Tares. I also blog at By Common Consent. After 20+ years in corporate, with the last 13 years as an American Express executive, I opened a small business together with my husband as a “soft retirement.”

Thanks to Nibbler I think I got the picture thing. I do resemble Darth Vader, with hair, in Episodes 4-6.

It’s my cynical look, of course. It’s how I always look to some people suppose.

Kevin, I chanced upon your update. Gotta add a new post to bump the thread so people will know to go looking again. ;)

Sorry…that’s typical me…I start the thread so I can share and get to know others, but then kinda sit in the back row, lay low and try not to draw attention to myself. I’m goofy.

Don’t look cynical to me…look wise like you’re typing a profound discourse to a son serving on a mission! THat’s what it looks like to me.
