Sister Costley volunteered in her community through a local theater, with counseling groups and with the Disabled Rights Action Committee
I like the sound of this. Sister Costley is also not American.
Sister Tracy Browning was born in New Rochelle, New York, but spent a good portion of her childhood on the island of Jamaica in the West Indies, the birthplace of her mother and father.
Again good – a partly non-American background.
Don’t get me wrong here. I love many of the American members to bits but most of us aren’t from the USA. I’m delighted to see a woman who grew up in a poor country and a mostly non-white one at that. (Also one which has produced incredibly good music – let’s not forget that either!)
All three are positive choices.
