SamBee brought up not being able to access the site behind a netnanny filter. I can’t know if this is the reason, but I noticed that this site has a “Connection Is Not Secure” error.

Digging a little deeper I see the following error:

    SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

I don’t know a lot about these things, but the domain in the certificate appears to be “*.inmotionhosting.com” I’m assuming the problem is that the domain in the certificate doesn’t match the domain of the site (*.staylds.com)

Can someone send Brian an email and ask him to check? I am on a device that makes it hard to do that right now.

StayLDS forums do not use the secure, encrypted HTTPS protocol. This site uses regular, old-school HTTP. That can sometimes pop up as a warning on some browsers and/or firewalls as a security risk. That’s what it sounds like happened.

In order to run using HTTPS, the site would need to acquire one of these SSL “certificates” from a third party that issues them. In recent years, there have been some free options, but usually it costs extra money. I’m not a big expert on this, but I have used these types of certificates and setup secure sites before. It’s not terribly difficult, but would take some time and effort (and perhaps cost).
