He has issues, and they have been present since he started participating here. His comment on the “men in the church” crossed several lines in one comment and showed a complete lack of understanding of the post and discussion thread, so let’s keep an eye on it.

I don’t know if there is a way to salvage it without editing it, but I’d like to have us try.

I missed it. This tread prompted me to go look.

Reading between the lines he’s under a bunch of stress. His wife has been in the hospital. He’s attended the temple but didn’t realize their was a change? Ummm. I know my Mormon neighbor down the street has had cancer and sometimes scares bring out things. Suddenly her bombastic atheist husband was letting people in, and making pleasant conversations if you walked by. He was scared. Suddenly he needed a net. A people net. The closest, fastest one he could get was Mormons.

Maybe Jamison is in the same place.

He left here with a huff and a hint of never returning, but ….

I want to stay hands off and let it develop or not at its own pace. He needs patience and understanding, but we need to stay true to our mission.

I believe he used to be a regular on the old NOM forums where edgy (and over the edge) posts were common and accepted. I agree Curt, I think we should see where it goes but closely watch it and him. Maybe a gentle pm from a mod (probably not me) reminding him of our standards of conduct and letting him know we’re watching?

I have observed over the years him talking about hitting other guys or wanting to hit other guys. He seems to think that men hitting other men should be more accepted than it currently is.

I do not know why that is. I do not have any aspect of my life (outside self defense) where it might be acceptable to hit another.
