    Everyone,

I have been actively involved here for 11 years. In that time, I have written over 16,000 posts and comments. Since this group was formed, almost exactly 1/8 of all posts and comments have been mine. This has not been and isn’t “my site” in any way, but I have been a primary voice for over a decade.

My life right now is such that I need to reduce my participation somewhat. I am not leaving, nor am I withdrawing significantly in dedication, passion, spirit, or participation. I hope to continue to check in most days and read the posts and comments. I simply can’t continue the past level of participation.

I thought about doing so without a formal announcement, but I felt a need to be open about the change. I love this group and have tried to help people accept themselves and their own attempts to find proper balances that can bring increased peace and joy. I know it has appeared to some people that I have “figured out all this stuff” (as one friend told me recently), so it is important that I state publicly I have not done so. I believe I never will – hoping that my journey will be one of never-ending changes and alterations as I try to accept “eternal progress” as a practical goal, not just an aspiration for life after death.

I have viewed the last 11 years as a mission or calling of my own choosing. I still see it that way, but I need to walk away from it as a “full-time” mission/calling and move to simple participation.

So, this is not, “Good-bye.” It is, “See you a little less often.” It simply is my attempt to be open about my current journey.

Curt I have enjoyed reading your comments over the past few years and I am grateful for your participation. I wish you the best with this new phase in life and I am glad to hear that you’ll still be around a bit. To have been active hear for 11 years is quite a feat and especially have almost 1/8 of all site participation be your own.

But seriously, thank you for being here. This site helps a lot of people that never post/make accounts. Like how I was for years before there was a topic that I just had to comment on. Even though I’ve moved on from participating at an LDS church this site helps me to navigate the online LDS communities I still participate in and not get too annoyed people.

Old Timer, I’m grateful you’ll still be with us, even if it will less than you used to be. Thank you so very much for your advice when I thought couldn’t get through my faith crisis in one piece. I definitely don’t have everything figured out yet, but I feel much more at peace with myself and my relationship with God. Thank you so much. You and your family have a merry Christmas.

Thank you Curt. You (and others here [some that have since moved on]) were a life saver for me when I was in a true freefall of Faith Crisis.

There are now a number of us moderators that can help the new comers and continue the work.

Many hands make for light work. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Thanks for all you have done. You have made a difference in my life and I am sure have done so for many others. I look forward to our continued relationship even if we “see” each other less often – such it is with many friendships. May God continue to bless you and yours and may you find a path to the peace you seek. Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

God bless! You’ve always been a voice of reason to my mind. I’m glad you will still chime in from time to time.
