I left because I did not agree with one aspect of Leadership Rules.

Now I understand that I love the Sacrament Services so much, I it seems that I should let that rest.

    Life is interesting.

The importance of some things in our minds and lives ebbs and flows. Leaving can be okay, and so can returning.

In the end, we all must do what we all must do.

We are here for each other along the road. I hope we can be here for you, as well.

I’m not sure how I missed this when you posted. Welcome to the forum, I hope we can help you and you can help us.

I spent several years (10+) inactive, and I agree, sacrament meeting is home for me because it’s what I’m used to. I was Catholic before joining the church a long time ago, and while I was comfortable in mass as well (and still can be), I am more comfortable here. That doesn’t mean speakers don’t bug me (it happens all the time) or that I agree with everything and some Sundays are very difficult, especially those that lose focus on the Savior, the atonement, God, etc. I do find some meaning in the sacrament itself, and I think that’s important. If I only have that little bit of meaning I can usually ignore the rest.

Welcome Khadijah. We’re glad you’re here. I like Introductions. They give us the chance to understand what happened, where you’re at now &

where you expect or want to go on your spiritual journey. It was this site that helped me to become active again. I was inactive for about 8 yrs.

My thoughts and beliefs have evolved over the years. They continue to evolve everyday as I keep open to the influences in this life. I hope that

makes sense. Keep coming back. We want to hear more about you. If we can help in any way, just ask. Keep what works & leave the rest.

    Happy trails!

    Welcome Khadijah,

To add to what I wrote in the other post about loving yourself and having patience and compassion for yourself – no man (person) is an island.

It is helpful to meet with others to be nourished socially and spiritually.

I hope that we can walk with each other for a time to make our individual journeys more meaningful.

There is much that I can not share about myself save to say that I am completely devoted to God. I am Celibate and at my age, I do not anticipate that changing. Retiring in 2003, I have lots of time to study God, and those things that he has caused to be written. There is no issue with the Mormon Documents, except to me, nothing overrules the Bible full stop. The Prophet does not overrule the Bible. The first complete protestant Bible was the KJV, but Orthodox , and other thought carries great value, IMO. If I could rewind, I’d be a Theological Archeologist.

I’ve never had issue with the civil law. There is much evil in the world, a lot of it done by those who think they are doing right.
