GuestI flipped a coin and approved their request to join. The justification text was lame “interested to join” but the IP was from the US and didn’t show up on spam radars.
Their first post was just as lame:
Quote:Interesting
🙂 I’m not willing to let them through to unrestricted access on nothing more than two “interestings”
I rejected the post with the following:
Quote:When registering the site asks for justification text to help moderators know whether a request is coming from a real person looking for support or a spam bot.
The justification text you provided was “interested to join”, which wasn’t much to go on.
The Urim and the Thummim were consulted, they landed approval side up.
The first post also requires approval. In this case the first post didn’t give moderators much to go on, “Interesting
🙂 ” In fact it was a repetition of the mysterious justification text. This forced a second interaction with the Urim and the Thummim but this time they landed on possible spam bot.
Could you write a little more in your introductory post? Preferably a little more about yourself. It would go a long way towards preventing moderators from having to resort to using the Urim and the Thummim a third time.

Guest😆 I haven’t seen them attempt to post again. I’d hate it if I scared them off… unless they were spammers.

I think the likelihood they are spammers – or at least attempting to market something – is pretty high.
