I was contacted this morning by John Dehlin saying that he just found out that Brian passed away. Brian and John cofounded StayLDS.
I have no reason to doubt John but I have not been able to independently confirm.
Old-Timer do you know Brian personally?
Sad, indeed. My only interactions with Brian were here, but I very much appreciated those interactions and his perspective. Sad day. I haven’t found an obituary in his area. I’ve got an eye on his and his wife’s FB page for any updates.

I was holding out a small measure of hope that it wasn’t true but it unfortunately was. 😥 The world lost another treasure.

I’m very saddened to hear the news. Brian was a good friend. During my divorce, called me and talked me through things often. I spent time at his house and with his son in person, and I am just sad to hear about this. But thank you for sharing the sad news.
I will mourn his passing.
I had heard about but not verified it. I did not know Brian well, but we talked occasionally online. I respected him greatly.
