GuestOut of all the TBM podcasts, I kind of like the LeadingLDS podcast by Kurt Francom. In fact it is about the only TBM’ish podcast still on my list. I have suggested it to many church leaders. He does tackle hard issues like how to treat many groups within the church with love and compassion. He just had quite a good one where he interviewed someone that was a counselor to Kurt when he was a bishop and this counselor left the church abruptly.

But just to prove that I am NOT progressing in my stages of faith, I just got pissed at what I consider to be a really condescending comment and I just had to comment. I don’t think I was off the rails (I did use a few too many capital letters), but I think you can clearly find my comment that I made today saying how I think the whole tone of this one commentator is WRONG.
The podcast is worth a listen. My rant, not so much.

GuestThe rant was understandable, imo. It’s a hard one to listen to because Heath takes a rather long time to express himself – lots of um, you know, like. And because I don’t indentify a great deal with his issues. But I think it’s great that this podcast is targeting local leaders, the bishops down in the trenches with friends leaving the church.
They’re both honest. Heath doesn’t rule out coming back. I love (a very telling part of podcasts and blogs for me) that the author links to
allthe materials mentioned in the discussion. November 3, 2016 at 2:59 am #315633Anonymous

I was more impressed with the interviewer than Heath. Heath may not have been the best faith crisis poster boy, but I can sympathize with him. I do feel he may have jumped and left the church a bit too reactionary. -
