Thank you for StayLDS.com. I am not a member but am an investigator, and have been quibbling over whether to join the church because of my progressive political views. Your site helped me realize that, if I do decide to join the church, I can be a faithful member in good standing and still have my personal opinions, and that becoming LDS doesn’t mean that I have to “assimilate” because resistance is futile

And a star trek fan to boot!! Very cool, Brian. Thanks for sharing. Yes, thank you! I needed to read that this morning. I get other notes from time to time. I will try to remember to post them here. They are encouraging. We really do help a lot of people, and that helps me feel like the time is well-spent. It’s nice to see notes like this–and it’s nice to know we are helping investigators too! :clap: Along the lines of this positive message from an investigator: Joanna Brooks has told me a couple times that StayLDS was a pivotal part in her reactivation and re-connection with the Church, part of her being able to attend again and pass her pioneer heritage down to her children in a positive way. I would like to keep those comments private though, and not mention it outside our circle of admins/moderators.
